On 01.09. of each year , we are looking for an apprentice as an anesthesia technical assistant (m/f/d) – ATA.

• The training is carried out in accordance with the nationwide ATA-OTA Act in the current version and the associated Training and Examination Ordinance
• At least 2,100 hours of instruction at the Helios Training Center Plauen and at least 2,500 hours of practical training under expert guidance in mandatory and optional areas of assignment in the respective hospitals
• Introduction of patients to the operating room and monitoring and observation of patients during and after surgery
• Safe handling of technical equipment and interdisciplinary cooperation
• Responsible use of medication and documentation

• A good secondary school leaving certificate or lower secondary school leaving certificate with at least two years of vocational training or professional license as a nursing assistant (m/f/d) and proof of health suitability by means of a medical certificate
• Good academic performance, especially in the natural sciences
• Parental consent for applicants (m/f/d) under 18 years of age
• A pre-vocational internship in the surgical area or on a surgical ward is desirable
• You have a medical-technical understanding and are physically and mentally resilient
• The ability to work in a team, a sense of responsibility, order and cleanliness are a matter of course for you
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles

• A varied three-year apprenticeship annually on 01.09.
• A maximum weekly working time of 38.5 hours
• This training concludes with a written, oral and practical examination as an anesthesia technical assistant (ATA-DKG)
• Certificate of radiation protection course for surgical personnel according to Annex 10

Anesthesia technical assistants (m/f/d) help specialists prepare for and perform anesthesia. Anesthesia is a medical procedure with the aim of getting patients through surgery painlessly. You will be responsible for caring for the patients.

An anesthesia technician (m/f/d) monitors the circulation, breathing and general condition of the patients during and after the operation. If there are problems during the operation, he has to react quickly. He must have good powers of observation in order to competently care for patients in the recovery room after the operation. In addition, anesthesia assistants pay attention to hygiene, wait for the medical equipment and ensure smooth workflows all around. Finally, an anesthesia technician prepares documentation of the anesthesia procedures.
