The Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Helios Clinic Hettstedt has 75 inpatient beds and 60 day clinic places at the Hettstedt, Lutherstadt Eisleben and Sangerhausen locations. It has the supply mandate for approx. 150,000 inhabitants of the Mansfeld-Südharz district. Patients with illnesses from the entire psychiatric spectrum are treated: Treatment focuses on the treatment of patients with mood disorders, psychoses from the schizophrenic type, addictions and personality disorders, and patients with PTSD. The clinic has an extensive outpatient clinic at the HET, EIL and SGH locations. Another focus is on community-based day hospital care for patients and the outpatient treatment of patients in the Psychiatric Institute Outpatient Clinic (PIA) in accordance with a social psychiatric treatment concept. At the PIA, around 900 patients are treated per quarter at the Hettstedt site. An ECT unit is attached to the department.
The Helios Clinic Hettstedt, Academic Teaching Hospital of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, is a house of basic care with the departments of psychiatry/psychotherapy/day clinic, orthopaedic-traumatological centre, general and visceral surgery, internal medicine with stroke unit, ear, nose and throat medicine, anaesthesia/intensive care/pain therapy, palliative medicine, physiotherapy as well as gynaecological basic care and a gynaecological clinic. radiology practice.
