In the Cardiotechnology department at the Wuppertal Elberfeld site, we are looking to fill the position of

Cardiotechnician (m/f/d)

full-time or part-time as soon as possible.

• Independent and autonomous performance of extracorporeal perfusion during conventional and minimally invasive cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
• Assisting with off-pump interventions (OPCAB/MIDCAB)
• Provision and care of cardiac support procedures (ECLS/ECMO/IABP/Impella/VAD)
• Application and care of ventricular assist devices (VAD)
• Assistance with catheter-guided heart valve interventions (TAVI)
• Apparative support in the context of minimally invasive heart surgery ("surgical robot")
• Intraoperative monitoring of vital parameters
• Performance of blood preparation procedures
• Intraoperative blood gas and blood chemistry analysis
• Involvement in cardiac rhythm therapy (pacemakers)
• Assumption of tasks during organ transplants
• Participation in on-call/on-call service
• IT documentation and quality assurance

• Motivation to work in a great, highly specialized profession
• Successfully completed training as a perfusionist or clinical perfusionist (m/f/d)
• Basic nursing training
• Preferably with professional experience
• Empathetic and empathetic approach to our patients coupled with technical affinity
• Enthusiasm for new things, team spirit and a cooperative attitude
• Service orientation, friendliness and professionalism
• Certification in accordance with the European Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (EBCP)
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles
