The Helios Klinikum Bad Saarow is a hospital providing qualified standard care and, with 629 beds, is one of the largest and most modern clinics in the region. 19 specialist departments, three institutes, a central emergency room, a central laboratory and various certified centers provide a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art diagnostics and innovative therapies.

The Clinic for Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care Medicine and Pain Therapy and the Central Emergency Department/Rescue Medicine are structured according to the four pillars of the specialty (AINS). The Intensive Care Medicine department consists of two interdisciplinary intensive care units with a total of 42 beds including a weaning unit. We are the Brandenburg ECMO center (vv and va-ECMO incl. pick-up service) and participate as a productive and successful study center in SepNet. Palliative care concepts are an integral part of our care. Both intensive care units are operated in shifts with an interdisciplinary medical presence under intensive care anesthesiology management. The clinic provides in-hospital emergency care and care for critically ill patients who are admitted to the hospital via the Central Emergency Department and participates in the ambulance service.

In the area of pain therapy, both perioperative and chronic pain therapy are represented with a pain outpatient clinic, a consultation service and our own pain beds. We live interdisciplinarity, collegiality and attach great importance to further training and individual support for all colleagues. In addition to medical training, we offer a comprehensive range of personal development opportunities for future managers.
