For our AVWZ Ophthalmology at the Aue site, we are looking for an Orthoptist (f/m/d) in part-time employment as soon as possible.

• You will help organize and plan our everyday practice and are therefore responsible for an efficient and smooth process
• They work on the most modern and versatile ophthalmic optical examination devices and perform orthoptistic examinations, such as visual acuity testing, examination for strabismus, motility testing, fixation testing and testing of binocular vision, determination of strabismus angles, etc
• They advise and develop treatment proposals for orthoptics patients and take over the therapy instructions (occlusion plan, prism adjustment, etc.).
• You will prepare and document orthoptic reports
• You will supervise pre- and post-operative strabismus operations from our company

• You have trained as an orthoptist (m/f/d)
• You work carefully, responsibly and team-oriented and enjoy service-oriented interaction with our patients
• You are flexible in terms of working hours (early and middle service)

The Department of Ophthalmology with a team treats more than 3,000 inpatients and outpatients and about 1,700 consultant patients from other clinics in our hospital with over 6,000 procedures every year. The range of services includes cataract surgery with posterior chamber lens implantation, mainly phacoemulsification, pars plana vitrectomies, intravitreal injections, laser treatment and microsurgical operations for glaucoma, tumor diagnostics and therapy, eyelid plasty, lacrimal duct surgery, OCTs (Spectralis), OCTAs (Optovue), fluorescence angiography (Optos and HRA), laser treatments (PASCAL) and SLT/YAG laser treatments.
