St. Wendel plant

Since the end of the 1970s, we have been working every single day at our St. Wendel site to provide innovative dialyzers to improve the quality of life of chronically ill patients.

About the site

Research, development and production — this combination is our recipe for success: We are one of the leading international companies in medical technology. Sustainable investments enable our highly qualified specialists, engineers, scientists and technicians to advance developments and do innovative work.

The production technologies developed in St. Wendel are passed on to subsidiaries and partners worldwide. With around 2,000 employees, the site is one of the most important technology centers in the entire Fresenius Group. The production of medical products, such as artificial kidneys and disposable medical plastic products for renal replacement therapy, begins with research in St. Wendel. Innovative ideas, new approaches and findings feed directly into the development of high-quality and sometimes groundbreaking products as well as into appropriate production technologies.

St. Wendel is a district with 30,000 inhabitants and a historic old town in the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park, not far from the French and Luxembourg borders. The varied mountain landscape with gentle hills and large forest areas is ideal for trekking, mountain biking, horse riding — getting out into nature. Sports enthusiasts, nature lovers and families will enjoy this environment.
