With approximately 1400 employees, devices for hemo- and peritoneal dialysis as well as products for the execution of extracorporeal processes are developed and produced here. One third of our employees work in global research and development. The significance of the plant is evident from the fact that many of the dialysis machines used worldwide come from Fresenius Medical Care in Schweinfurt.
Improving the lives of our dialysis patients is a real incentive for our colleagues in their daily work. It is also important to note that there are extremely varied general conditions and requirements in place in different countries. This is where Fresenius Medical Care's particular strength really comes into its own: the high customer and quality orientation through flexible solutions and extensive, targeted training, as well as professional development provided to its employees.
Fresenius Medical Care has been manufacturing dialysis machines in Schweinfurt for 40 years. And we're not going anywhere: We are consistently investing in the site and are building a new technology center there (approximately 8000 square meters in size) for the development and production of dialysis machines. In addition to the technology center, an innovation laboratory (Innovation Lab) is being established at the site. This will provide space for our R&D employees to work in an agile way.
