(Senior) Director HR Medical Devices (m/f)

  • Manages HR for the Medical Devices Division (recruitment processes of the second management level and below, strategic people planning, talent pool, job rotations).
  • Acts as head to lead, directs and guides the organization/teams covering all aspects of HR in the Division to create and implement strategies.
  • Functions as interface between the Medical Devices Division (including respective Legal Entity HRs) and Global HR.
  • Is a partner to Global HR for the formation of global strategies under special consideration of divisional aspects, supports and implements projects defined by Global HR or the HR community (e.g. incentive systems), and manages organizational development in the Division.
  • Functions as a strategic business advisor to the management and employees regarding key organizational and management issues with high sensitivity to employees.
  • Supports Divisional President to qualify his country managers and manages high potential identification and development programs (with Global HR).
  • Acts as business partner to support the business on HR-related areas and liases with functional managers to proactively evaluate the current and future HR needs in order to recommend appropriate recruitment strategy.
  • Coachs and supports senior management in advising on HR aspects in all major projects.
  • Implements projects, systems and processes (in line with Global HR) in the Division, follows Global HR policies and adapts divisional specifics.
  • Provides overall leadership and guidance to all HR functions, including organization development with strong focus on talent management topics.
  • Supervises and performs day to day HR operations (incl. benefits administration, leave administration, staff orientation) and ensures legal compliance.
  • Advises, steers and qualifies of Legal Entity HR functions.
  • Supports and implements projects defined by Global HR or the HR community. Membership in the Global HR Steering Committee.
  • Identifies high potentials and creates a development program (with Global HR).
  • Is responsible for HR-related matters for above-manager level and country manager level or key managers in the Division.
  • Develops and maintains effective HR policies and guidelines; adapts and follows HR policies for local specific needs and takes care of organizational development.
  • Develops and implements comprehensive recruiting and retention plans to sustain required human capital needs and best industry-wide attrition rates.
  • Advocates and leads all activities to achieve the company’s goal as preferred employer.      
  • Establishes systematic management succession plan and processes to secure talent pipeline to fuel long term business needs.
  • Bachelor degree in management, human resources or relevant discipline. 
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources function in multinational company with at least 2 years in managerial level.
  • Well versed in employment ordinance, legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, inspiring and developing others, facilitating chances, trust building, with good analytical skills and service mind.
  • Ability to build quick credibility with key stakeholders through professional knowledge and leadership skills as well as project the highest level of integrity.
  • Mature and approachable personality as well as cultural sensitivity.
  • Passionate about HR.
  • Fluency in spoken and written in English and ideally in German.
