Director & Head (m/f) of HR Operations

In line with our new People Strategy, Fresenius Medical Care introduced a new global function - HR Operations & Technology - to improve our operational HR model and enable more efficient global and local processes. As part of this new team, the HR Operations Manager (m/f) will be responsible for the optimization and alignment of HR processes that need to be mirrored in our new global HCM cloud system Workday and will support the overall implementation in one region. In addition s/he will care for an ongoing optimization of HR processes and of the service delivery model including shared services/business center scenarios. He will also contribute to the development of the future Target Operating Model (TOM) for HR and coordinate HR related compliance and data privacy topics.

Reporting to the Head of HR Operations & Technology this position will be located in our headquarters in Bad Homburg, Germany and require a certain amount of international travel.

  • Manage a small team of process experts for HR processes overall, HR core and HR reporting and analytics
  • Drive functional and process related topics for our new global Cloud HCM system Workday
  • Identify areas for improvement in processes and in the HR service delivery model
  • Manage process alignment, testing and necessary training activities for certain areas
  • Work closely together with the Head of HR Technology, IT and with implementation teams in all regions and global functions
  • Work closely with subject matter experts and other process owners in HR
  • Identify training needs, develop, organize and ensure delivery of necessary trainings
  • Support of the overall implementation of the new global HR cloud system in one region and work intensively with the implementation team of that region
  • Coordinate HR related compliance topics and data privacy issues
  • Contribute to develop the future Target Operating Model for HR
  • Support other global digitalization projects in the field of HR
  • Master degree (or similar) with focus on IT, Business Administration or Industrial Engineering
  • Comprehensive and multiple years of professional experience in process optimization and optimization of the HR service delivery model in a global decentralized environment
  • Proven track record in implementing global HCM IT solutions for certain processes
  • Solid Experience with the implementation of international HR shared service or business centers would be highly welcome
  • Good knowledge of HR processes and HR delivery models (Business Partner, Center of Excellence, Shared Service), process optimization, project management, other IT implementations, Change Management
  • Knowledge of HR on premise- and cloud-systems with typical modules/processes such as HR Core, reporting and analytics, recruiting, learning, compensation, benefits, performance management, talent management, interfaces to finance systems, time and attendance and personnel information system
  • Basic knowledge of HR related compliance and data privacy topics and willingness to dive deeper into those areas
  • Experience with project and process management tools
  • Fluent business language skills in English
  • Passion for improvement of HR processes and applications and the digital transformation; very good communication skills with service-oriented thinking
  • Strong analytical mind set and the ability to stay focused in complex environments
  • Ability to work as part of a virtual team in a global environment
