Business Development

Execute the Company’s partnering strategy:

  • Develop and execute the business development biosimilar strategy both on the global level and regional level, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed by the team

Identify, evaluate and close business opportunities (e.g. WW in-licensing ; regional out-licensing ; long-term supply):

  • Develop and lead the Business Development team in sourcing, managing and implementing new business opportunities
  • Align with Portfolio and/or Marketing teams as well as with Commercial Regions to identity and/or validate biosimilar opportunities;
  • Lead the evaluation of potential partners, including the due diligence teams and secure buy in of management and other stakeholders
  • Structure, negotiate and execute deals
  • Define business needs of the Biosimilars business and structure appropriate deal terms: in licensing, out licensing, joint development, commercialization, equity (M&A), strategic partnership, joint venture, etc.

 Alliance Management

  • Key point of contact externally with partners for business and contract related matters
  • Develop and execute the alliance management plans (objectives, risk mitigation, deliverables) to ensure adherence to clinical, commercial, CMC development, device development, supply and quality commitments within service, co-development and license agreements.
  • Lead the set-up, governance process of the partnerships, including re-structuring when applicable
  • Manage the relationships with the partner: collaboration set-up and maintenance, value improvement seeking, escalate issue and risk to Management, drive conflict management, anticipate issues to avoid, mitigate or resolve them early
  • Lead strategic initiatives to develop value for the Biosimilar Business

Education: Master degree in business or equivalent, scientific background is a plus

Job Specific Competencies & Skills: 

Work experience in pharma, deal closing, management of partnership, legal, negotiation, collaboration

Business savvy, persistence, open- minded, goal oriented, able to work and lead in a matrix environment, work under time constraint, great communication skills

Languages: English is a must, French or German is a plus

Work experience: Over 10 years

Your assignments

Business Development
